It is no coincidence that an infant's visual perception is most acute at the exact distance from their mother's face to the infant's eye as they feed from her breast. From the moment of birth each of us develops the ability to decipher the most subtle of visual cues which alerts us to the world in which we travel. We instinctively interpret danger, love, joy and sorrow by the facial expressions we encounter and exude ourselves each day. And just as each of us interprets those expressions differently based on our past, we also view visual arts from our own personal perspectives. The triple conspiracy of subject, creator and viewer is one of the wonders of visual arts as how we feel about an image may say more about ourselves then it does about the subject.
Human expression in its infinite yet universal variety is one of my personal wonders. I find in each face a human soul and it is my attempt to convey who we are in the moments we all share.
